On this list i thought we had a policy of lenience or gentle persuasion
only towards newbies/unsubscribed who are often new computing in
general. Regular list members on the other hand should be familiar with
the mailing list guidelines.

So the OP who may be a newbie and not know better is best not to be
abused for the system time of their box.

Of course i myself have been unnecesarily short with people on some
occasions especially when they top post instead of use the recommended
intersperse method of replying. I will try to reply top post if the
newbie innitiates a top post discussion. However for a normal thread
among list members i recommend following the guidelines.
