Yes and no. If you use OOo to open and edit an MS Office (MSO) document then the OOo dictionaries and thesauri will be available. But if you use MSO to open and edit the same document then the OOo dictionaries and thesauri will not be available. MSO has no knowledge of the OOo dictionaries etc. The converse is also true: OOo has no knowledge of any MSO dictionaries or thesauri.
