I'm using OpenOffice 3.0.1 on an XP system. When I copy(burn) several Writer
files to a folder on a CD and then open one of those files on the CD, it
appears as a Read Only file. Clicking the File Edit icon enables me to copy the
file to an "Untitled file" that I can edit and the original named file
disappears from the desktop. Now, if I close the file and then open it again it
opens as an editable file. Also, I can then open the other Writer files on the
CD as editable files. At no time have I attempted to create Read Only files and
I cannot find any setting that might be causing this behaviour. Is it normal?
