o The first time you want to do this, set the font in the normal way.
o To set subsequent text to the same font (and other character
attributes), put the cursor into the text that is already in your
required font.
o Click the Format Paintbrush in the Standard toolbar.
o Select the text that you wish to be changed to this font.
If you do exactly as above, the selected text will take on the
character properties of the original text, but the paragraph
containing it will also take on the paragraph properties of the
original paragraph. To prevent these paragraph properties being
carried over - so that you change only the character properties -
hold down the Ctrl key whilst you select the destination text.
The above technique will change the character properties of a single
piece of text. If you wish to do the same for a number of text items
at the same time, double-click the Format Paintbrush instead. Its
function then sticks and you can apply the technique a number of
times without clicking the toolbar button again. To disable this
effect after you have completed what you need, either click the
Format Paintbrush again or simply press the Esc key.
Another way of achieving all this would be to create a custom
character style, which you could then apply to your required
text. One important difference with this method is that if you later
decide that everything you have changed to your selected font should
be set in the same font but a different one from the one you
originally chose, you can simply change the style. If you apply the
font piecemeal as above, you would have to change each text item
again separately. If such a change may conceivably be necessary, a
style is a better solution.
I trust this helps.
