In Calc there is the Name Box that has a pull-down menu in which
individual cells can be named. Is there some way in Writer to make a
pull-down menu that has a list of words. When a particular word is
selected, the cursor goes to that word. The words in the pull-down
menu would act like a Table Of Contents. The Writer document already
has a Table Of Contents that is too large compared to the desired
pull-down menu list of words.
You need bookmarks.
o To set a bookmark, place the cursor or select the item, go to Insert
| Bookmark..., and give the bookmark a name.
To go to an existing bookmark, either:
o Go to Edit | Navigator (or press F5) to open the Navigator, expand
the Bookmarks entry, and double-click the required bookmark, or
o (more easily) right-click the Page Number field at the left of the
Status Bar (at the bottom of the window) and select the required
bookmark from the context menu.
I trust this helps.
