Hi,
as my friend asked me how he can find his lost openoffice files I didn't know how to help him. You may know the situation as you open a blank writer, calc or impress document begin to create some things and don't save the document at first. If there is a power break down or your laptop has no power in the cell your data is gone. So the question(s) is/are:

- Does openoffice save the data somewhere even if you don't save it in a named file/document?
- How can you find this file/document?
- Can you make openoffice saving your "work" even if you forget at the begining to give the project a name and save it? - Does openoffice save the data each 15 minutes even if I haven't gave the document a name? You can choose in openoffice to save the data any x minutes. But does it also work in this case? And where do I find the files than?

Using OpenOffice 3.0.1 on Windows XP.

As I saw on TV a freeware and a comercial recovery software could only restore some data which gives no sense. And finally my proposal for the OpenOffice-Developers: Could you be so nice and let openoffice by opening a new blank writer, calc, impress, database, draw and math document a menu pop-up asking for a file name so openoffice could create automatically the file before you start working with it. I just don't know why nobody has that idea just me. :)

Thanks in advance.
