How do I find out how to move my office 2003 contacts to open office.org?
There are various ways to do this. One is:
o Go to File | Wizards > | Address Data Source... .
o Select "Outlook address book".
o Follow the instructions.
Alternatively, there are instructions at the Microsoft web site for
exporting contacts from Outlook 2003 to an Excel spreadsheet document
file. See
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA010964221033.aspx?pid=CH063566561033
(or http://tinyurl.com/dz9kun ). When you have this .xls file, you
can open it in OpenOffice Calc. This may achieve what you need. But
you may also wish to copy and paste the data from Calc into a Base
database as a table; this database can be registered and used as a
data source in OpenOffice.
I trust this helps.
