Hello, Does anyone have experience with writing a long report with OOo (a book like document) with chapters and appendices?
The document is supposed to have front matter (cover page, TOC, preface, etc.), chapters, appendices, and back matter (index, etc.). The most crucial thing in this is that TOC should have chapters, subsection and appendix chapters as well. Appendices are to be numbered A, B, C and so on and figures and equations appearing in them should be correspondingly number (Figure A.1, Figure B.2, etc. and Eq. A.1, Eq, B.2, etc.). Is OOo up to this task of a complex document preparation? Or are there quirks involved? Or should I look for another option? Thanks. -- Please reply to this list only. I read this list on its corresponding newsgroup on gmane.org.
