By following the instructions on the bottom lines of every message that comes
through the server. You must do that from the same address you used to
subscribe to the list, and you must reply to the confirmation message the
server will send you.
Note, some badly broken email agents will NOT show those parts of a message,
so I'll paste them here:

I've worked with Gary offline and he says he's done all the normal
things several times without success. I think he's probably not seeing
the confirmation message -- I advised him to look in his junk folders,
check with his ISP, and try [email protected]. Haven't heard
from him since, and I told him that the only response he was going to
get here was more of the same advice he's already seen.
