I have just bought a new comp. Window xlp Home
edition. Openoffice.0rg was in it. I seem unable to
register it. I have had great luck in the past with
the ease of Microsoft Works but was told this is
better. So far I am very frustrated. Do you have
PERSON...A REAL LIVE PERSON TO TALK TO ME?
No, support is all done by volunteers.
Just click never to register. :-)
It is free software so it will never expire.

Just to make things clearer. Registration is voluntary; it means
nothing in terms of being "allowed" to use the software. Just click the
"never register" button, and away you go.
Since everything is staffed by volunteers, you'll never have someone
checking up to see if you're registered.
My understanding is that registration is simply for some form of
"quality control," though I could be wrong.
The main thing is, it isn't necessary.
