I have OOo 3.0.1 running under Windows XP and have an annoying little
problem while using Draw to set out a club newsletter.
I am arranging the articles on each page of the newsletter in Text Boxes,
some without borders and some with a continuous black line border, and it is
working out well. As you know, after drawing your outline, you click on it
a second time to get your text box, within which you type your content.
The problem I am having is that after clicking my way into the box and
typing some information, and then exiting out again, maybe to go to
properties and draw a line around the box, or adjust the margins or anchor
point, or even go and edit text in an entirely different text box, when I
come back in I often find:
1. I cannot locate the cursor where I want it - it is blinking somewhere
else; or
2. sometimes I cannot select text with the mouse;
3. I cannot edit the text.
In other words, the text n the text box has become frozen or partly so.
to get out of this I have had to save my work; exit out of OOo; and then go
back in an re-open the document, which is not a good situation to be in when
you are busy.
Is 3.0.2 out yet?
If any of you have any advice or suggestions I would be obliged if you could
help.
