Are the graphics linked? You can see that in the menu Edit|Links. Is the option for showing set right? See Tools|Options|OpenOffice.org Calc|Lay Out > section Objects If this does not help, pls file an issue as Ingrid asked.
2) The excel files I send are not readable by those that do not have open office.
You can do the following: - File|Save as > MsExcel 97/2000/XP - File|Send| Send as MsExcel - File|Send| Send as PDF.
