OOo acts like a huge male lion who kills all the males of another Pride (. docx files). When I installed OOo and removed preinstalled trial version MSO in new laptop I got a problem. This installation killed my .docx file. I have one .docx file. I tried to open it using OOo and got message that the file is corrupted . After I let to restore the file I got the second message that the file can not be restored and opened. It was not corrupted before OOo installation. This file is the information letter from Acer, where they congratulated me with the purchase of their product (laptop), gave me customer ID and asked me to SAVE it ))) I can open the file as .txt. Then I can see many symbols and three words that I can understand - word - blabla - xml - blabla - document - blabla... Now I found information that OOo is not compatible with Microsoft Office 2007. So, is this file really corrupted or OOo 2.4 considers it as corrupted because of incompatibility? Will I be able to open this file after OOo 3.1 instalation?
