Well, here it is a year later and there's still no solution to my problem:
when I open OO the main screen opens in BIGGER than full screen mode, requiring
me to manually resize the screen to a reasonable size. It thinks it opens in
non-full-screen mode and clicking the 'full screen' middle square button on the
upper right of the window makes it SMALLER.
This is maddening. Is there a setting somewhere that gives the opening screen
geometry?
I'm wondering if perhaps you have an 'accessibility' setting set
somewhere that is causing the OOo screen to zoom. You'd mentioned that
you renamed/removed your previous OOo profile(s) & that didn't do the
trick, so I'd look elsewhere to see if OOo is triggering an
accessibility setting.
Just a guess.
Doubt it -- I've always wanted lots of tiny print whenever I've had the option,
and I NEVER want anything to start full screen, so unless something made the
decision for me I don't think that's it. I wouldn't mind so much if it didn't
take several steps rather than just one to reduce the size.
Do any of the developers read these groups, or is it strictly blind leading the
blind?
