I was thinking about a database, because I might want to make
more than one spreadsheet with the same data. But if I can
get vlookup to find data in another spreadsheet, I'll be happy
as well. As long as I don't have to copy the data, with a big
chance for errors. to every new spreadsheet.

I have been playing with vlookup a bit, and it looks very
promising.
