What version of OO.o did you download? The last version to work with
Mac OS 10.3.9 is OpenOffice.org 2.1.0, which is available from the
good-day site.

Select the language version you want to use. The US English version is named
OOo_2.1.0rc2_20061130_MacOSXPPC_install_en-US.dmg
