Hi Luis, Simply the message ask to you to close any OpenOffice.org application instace before continuing upgrading your OpenOffice (previous) installation.
So if you are using (and running) Writer or Calc or other OOo applications you must save yuor file (File -> Save) and then exit (File -> Exit). Furthermore: - if in your Windows there are different user current logged in with other or same OOo applications running they also must exit before upgrading; - close the OpenOffice.org Quick Starter before upgrading (in the tray bar, the small area near the windows watch in the bottom right corner of your screen/desktop, right click with the mouse on the OpenOffice style icon and then click on "Exit/Terminate QuickStarter" or similar item). Now you can upgrade your windows OpenOffice.org system (run the new OpenOffice.org 3.1 installer). So I suggest to you following these steps: - restart your Windows system; - logon with your user (with administrator rights); - close the OpenOffice.org Quick Starter (see above); - run the new OpenOffice.org 3.1 installer; - restart your system.
