You don't specify your operating system so the answer isn't really targeted very well. Windows: I have the Home and Student version of Office which includes an app called OneNote which takes screen clippings. From OneNote I can save as PNG but I can also keep all the graphics in there also. If PDF if OK then I use the free BullZip PDF printer. Linux: I use xsnap. Mac: Don't touch it. Can't say.
