Have you checked to see that a user-defined cell format hasn't been 
created?  Where you set the format to text, number, etc., take a look at 
the user-defined and see if something has been created there.

In Excel, there is something called an auto-open macro.  Any chance 
there is such a thing in OO.o?

Long shots I know, and I can shoot them down easily myself, but ... I'd 
still check them if it were me.  I can't find anything else related to 
rounding of numbers.
