Impress has this 'Notes' feature which I suddenly needed for the first time (having used OOo since about ver. 1.0.1 or 1.0.2). You're supposed to get a copy of a given slide in the top half of the page and a text zone/box in the bottom half.

It seems that irrespective of the Linux version of Impress I use (e.g. 2.4, 3.0.0 or 3.0.1), I can't seem to get the graphic to appear in the frame in the top half, either to view or to print. The text box in the bottom half works fine.

I'd appreciate some help on this one. How do I get a slide to appear in the top half of a Note?

In my version (3.1 for Windows XP) this works as you wish. It is possible to resize and move the slide image on the Notes page - even to move it off the page. On individual pages, you can even delete it entirely. Is that what you have done?

Try going to View | Master > | Notes Master. Can you see the slide image? Can you move and resize it suitably? But any change you make here appears to apply to new slides only, so you would have to re-make some of your work, I think.

Windows are a pane

You could even try the Windows version ... ;^)

I trust this helps.
