In Konqueror, if you're using kde, or perhaps in Nautilus, if you're using
gnome, you can set a tab (called a bookmark in Konqueror) in the file
manger using the fish:// protocol and just click on the tab at it will open
in the folder you have specified. If necessary it will then prompt you for
a userid/password.
