It's been like that for quite some time.
Many of the unsub posts now are from 3rd party "sell a link" to OOo, and
under the guise of "support" they simply provide a
mailto:[email protected]. Now those are issues that have been
discussed here ad nauseum and are nothing new. However, I do think that
the unsub posts have actually lessened since the last round of similar
discussions.
Yes - but if you follow the next link on the support page, for general
mailing lists however, this:
http://www.openoffice.org/mail_list.html
Anyone can post to our most popular lists, but if you are not already
subscribed, your message will be moderated. In this way, we limit the
amount of spam entering the message lists.
It seems that the left hand is not quite sure what the right hand is doing..
