Can powerpoint viewer 97' read open office files?
You need to save your OpenOffice.org Impress presentations as PowerPoint
(*.ppt) files. To do that, open the presentation, then do a "Save As"
and change the file type to Microsoft PowerPoint (whatever version you
want) and be sure the automatic file extension box is checked. If you
do that, the Powerpoint viewer would be able to read the files.
Of course, I presume that you don't have the option/ability to simply
use OpenOffice.org to project the slides that it creates (I use OOo
itself for my presentations unless I'm forced to use an "already there"
machine with only PowerPoint installed).
