The range of your Merge area?
Maybe the Area is too large.
It works well on my computer.
If you could give more informations , others could help u maybe .

I added the extension 'CalcEasy Toolbar 1.1.2'.
When I tried to insert a row in merged area with pressing new toolbar
button, It took a considerable time and then It resulted giving error in
macro as 'inadmissible value or data type. Index out of defined range'.
Do I need any other setting to run this macro properly.

When you select where you want the row or column inserted, are you
selecting from the row/column header, or,
are you just focusing on a single cell before you attempt to insert the
row/column. It does make a difference.
The first instance succeeds, the second fails.
