"Tuscon" isn't in the English (UK) dictionary, and I doubt it is in
the English (USA) one either. So if it is not being marked as wrong
by the spelling checker (and if I understand you correctly), it is
likely that you have either added it to one of the dictionaries -
probably "standard" - or else to the Ignore All list. You merely
have to correct that.
o Go to Tools | Options... | Language Settings | Writing Aids.
o Under "User-defined dictionaries", click on IgnoreAllList or each
of the dictionaries, as required.
o When you find the rogue entry for "Tuscon", select it and click Delete.
No need to go "outside [Writer]".
