and now to answer your actual question:
If you created a Base file with an embedded database then for all intent
and purpose you could share the data with no-one or everyone: you can
just give them a copy of the file, but there are NO connectors available.
So use something like a SQLite or MySQL for the actual database and if
you like Base for the forms and reports.
