There is no such e-mail setting in OpenOffice. However, it is possible
to email directly from it. Please describe what you are trying to do,
and what operating system you're running and we may be able to help you.

Just guessing here that you are referring to the setting for email merge.
Trick is - you must open a Writer file before you begin, or you won't
see the options.
With a writer file open the menu:
Tools>Options>OpenOffice.org Writer
Under this list you will see the option: Mail-Merge Email
