Tried it and I agree with you. I entered 3 main points: 1. Lack of screen space. 2. Low priority & cosmetic. If there are resources available they should be deployed fixing bugs and/or improving functionality. 3. Microsoft seems to be claiming that the Ribbon is its IP and threatening legal action against competitors using it. Such action would be hugely expensive for Oracle/Sun to defend and, if it wasn't defended would mean the development effort would have been completely wasted.
