I think if you goto documents and settings, there is a folder called
all users, within that there is a start menu folder, and withink that
you can create a new folder for openoffice.org and put a link to open
office in there.
I would do a search for all users, Not sure how MS get their logic for
structuring the file system folders, Also did you install as root or
admin I think that helps, not sure though.
of course in Linux things just seem to er work.

Hello, thanks for some help.
I've downloaded and installed OpenOffice 1.1.4 on a Windows XP,
Pentium4, lots of memory and disk space.
I chose "MULTI-USER" installation, because on my XP I have more than
one logon, or user.
However, all of the instructions seem to indicate that the initial
multi-user installation is for a separate machine,
and subsequent installation move files to other machines in a
network. I think I've misinterpreted something.
I chose this because someone else I know also loaded OpenOffice onto a
multi-logon machine, and only one
logon can access the OpenOffice programs.
I've looked at FAQ and other sources, but don't see (or understand?)
the answer to this question.
What should I do/have done?
Thanks,
