I use the footnote/endnote feature. How can I change the numbering
to Arabic numerals in square brackets instead of the default roman numerals.
You can change from roman to arabic at Tools | Footnotes/Endnotes...
| Footnotes (or Endnotes) | AutoNumbering | Numbering. If you need
additional characters, in the Insert Footnote/Endnote dialogue,
select Character (instead of Automatic) for Numbering and then type
what you need in the box. You can enter "[1]", "[2]", and the like here.
I also need to change the superscript endnote link in the text to
also become a normal number in brackets.
o Go to Format | Styles and Formatting (or click the Styles and
Formatting button in the Formatting toolbar or press F11).
o Click the Character Styles button.
o Right-click "Footnote anchor" or "Endnote anchor" as required, and
select Modify... | Position.
o Under Position, select Normal instead of Subscript.
I trust this helps.
