My guess:

1. Select the cell with the correct formatting.
2. Edit->Copy
3. Select the destination cells
4a. Edit->Paste Special->Formats
4b. Unselect everything except Formats,

Alternately:

1. Set a style for the formmating
2. Apply desired style to a cell
3. Go to next cell, ctrl-shift-y (repeat last action: reapply style)
