I'm pasting the numbers from a text editor (output from the statistics package R or output from the structural equation model package Mx) directly into the cells of an existing table. For some reason they all get changed to zero at some point. I'm not talking about converting text to a table. When I paste the numbers into the cell of a table, OOo sees the text as a number with decimal places. Yet the numbers (like "1.0142") get converted to "0".
