There are two choices. You can either send your recipient a copy of your
document in word format, or get them to install either OpenOffice or an
add-on for word to let them read openoffice files.
I will only give you the instructions to send a word format document so
as not to complicate things.
Either.
1) With the document open do >File and >Save as and use the down arrow
alongside the file type to select a doc file. Preferable Word
97/2000/XP. Please remember to select the Automatic file name extension.
This file can then be e-mailed or copied onto some media to give to your
recipient.
2) Choose >File >Send > E-mail as Microsoft Word and then send the
document to your recipient by e-mail. This will link in to your default
e-mail client in Windows or your selected e-mail client in linux
