Which version of OOo are you using and which version of which Operating
System?
I'm using OOo 3.1.1 on Vista Home Premium. If I close the Standard
toolbar and then close Writer, then when I start Writer again the
toolbar is still closed.
Ahhhh!!! You are right clicking on the toolbar and choosing Close. That
doesn't "stick" as you want it to. Instead do
* View
* Toolbars
* deselect Standard
* close Writer
Now when you start Writer again the Standard toolbar will not be visible.
