Quiero estar segur que estas consciente que si prefieres participar en un grupo de discusión en castellano, también existen. You haven't said what kind of file you're trying to send nor how you're trying to send it. But if you open the HELP file (?) and type "attach" you'll see the option "attachments in e-mails", which states that you if you select the FILE menu and choose Send, you can then choose "Email as" any one of a number of file format alternatives (oo, MSWord or pdf). I just tried it and my email client (The Bat!) asked me which account I wanted to use to send the file, so I assume that this feature does function. I myself have never used this feature, however. I usually drag the file (using Windows Explorer) to an open email composition window, but whatever email client you use should allow you to select a file to attach.
