The email client I use allows me to check a given number of lines (I set mine to 30, including the headers) from each post before downloading, using it's Mail Dispatcher via POP3. The info provided includes the size of the message, which is often helpful for locating spam and virus'. That and the subject drew my attention the the email in question so I deleted it on the server, before downloading.
