In fact I had crossposted to dev and I got an answer there:
Is there a way to make sure even object are converted to sx* formats
so
that they can be read by an XML parser ?
Tools - Options - Load/Save - Microsoft Office
Which was exactly what I was looking for. Now I am able to access the
contents of the objects as xml files, wich makes it a lot easier to
deal with in the parser I am using.
