Near the top of the home page (www.openoffice.org) are several tabs:
Home, Download, Support,... Click the Download tab. In the list under
Download Central, click the "Latest Stable Release: OpenOffice.org
1.1.4" link. In the blue box labeled Download OpenOffice.org there are
three boxes with choices. Select your language (Portugues), your
operating system (Windows, Linux, etc.), and your download site. (All
the sites have the same program, so pick one that is closest to your
home if possible.) Download the program which will take some time
(several hours if you are using a dial-up connection). Extract the
files from the one you downloaded, and read the setup_guide.pdf file
that is one of the extracted files. Follow its instructions to install
the program.
