I am running fedora core 3 and I used to run OOo with no problems. I can no longer run OOo. For example:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] OpenOffice.org1.1.4]$ /usr/local/OpenOffice.org1.1.4/program/soffice.bin: error while loading shared libraries: /usr/local/OpenOffice.org1.1.4/program/libicudata.so.22: cannot restore segment prot after reloc: Permission denied

Or, how about a new version?
[EMAIL PROTECTED] program]$ pwd
/opt/openoffice.org1.9.104/program
[EMAIL PROTECTED] program]$ ./soffice &
[1] 20899
[EMAIL PROTECTED] program]$ /opt/openoffice.org1.9.104/program/soffice.bin: error while loading shared libraries: /opt/openoffice.org1.9.104/program/libicudata.so.26: cannot restore segment prot after reloc: Permission denied

Hi Andrew,
you may try the "restorecon" command as suggested in 'Building and
Applying the Policy' which can be found at:
http://www.nsa.gov/selinux/papers/policy2-abs.cfm HTH

I spent a lot of time reading the information, it is a lot to read. I also received helpful information from another member of the group. I modified my configuration files, which had obviously changed, and then I ran setfiles for the appropriate directories and now things work.... This is likely to cause you a problem as soon as you run "yum update", you have been warned!
