I would suggest a paragraph style for the sections that contain the
numbering. What you may want to do is (in sequence)
1. Open a NEW document
1a. Press F11 to call up the Styles Menu.
1b. Choose "List Styles"
2. Define a List Style : at this point, do not set the
tabs or the indents
3. Define a Paragraph Style, including in this style
the font, size etc. One of the other parameters
you would also need to define is the Bullet and Numbering
style - choose the style you created in step (2) above.
4. Apply the Paragraph Style you created (in point 3 above)
to a block of text - if everything looks good, skip to
point (6)
5. If things do not look good (i.e., the indents are different),
then, RE-EDIT the Bullet Style created in step (2) above,
and set the indents till things are looking good.
6. Remove all text in the file (remember, it is a "new" file,
and, therefore, should not contain any text of any significance)
7. Save this file as a TEMPLATE.
8. The next time you want to use this type of bullets/numbering,
just open this template: you would not need to go through the
entire rigmarole again.
If you use other 'fixed' styles, for this type of a document, you may
want to save these styles also in the template...
My apologies if you already knew this. I request the list to please
add to the steps above, should they be incorrect/inadequate.
