When I import a .csv file in Calc, I get a row of cells instead but
I would prefer a column. I know there is a simple command to take a
row and make it a column and vice versa but I don't know what it
is. Would someone please tell me what the command is?
As so often, Paste Special comes to your rescue.
o Select the relevant row or the range of cells in it.
o Cut the contents.
o Click the column header of the destination column (or the first
cell of the destination range).
o Go to Edit | Paste Special... (or right-click | Paste Special...
or Ctrl+Shift+V).
o Under Options, tick Transpose and click OK.
|Incidentally, you cannot do the reverse with a complete column -
since columns are longer than rows are wide. But you can do it with
a range within a column.
I trust this helps.
