Séamas, I must be misunderstanding the question: Isn't "copied to all left-hand pages (or all right-hand pages, as the case may be)" exactly what it /means/ to have "headers in left-hand and right-hand page styles"? OTOH, if you really want "headlines that are different on *every* page", do you want headers?
