Hello all, I guess since the attachments of the error messages didnt go

I opened open office (3.1 for mac) writer on my mac os x 10.4.11
I just typed a "test message" and tried to save it on my desktop in odt
format and here is what i got
one after the other
1. Error message
Error saving the document Untitled1:
/Users/macvidur/Desktop/test.odt does not exist
I clicked on OK
and I got the following second error message
2. Error saving the document Untitled1:
Write Error
The file could not be written
I clicked on OK in the error dialog
and I was not able to save

Since you haven't gotten any other answers so far (I know you sent this
before), I'll give it a shot -- the first message is what I'd expect if
the program were looking for a folder to save the file in, rather than a
filename. It should not expect a file of that name to exist, and the
default name it should be trying to use is Untitled1.odt, so this looks
very strange.
