Once upon a time around the end of the last century there was a calendar, but I
think you have to go back to version 1 or even 0.x for that. Since then
there's been none.
Evolution is free or, if you are a Mozilla man, Thunderbird and its add-on,
which is called Sunbird I think.

the add-on is called Lightning. Sunbird is the stand-alone program; and
the diary can be done either manually or through a web program like
wordpress (run either locally or remotely).
