Do you actually test, or just comment? Here, give this a try:
Unclick & in Calc from the keypad enter: 1234.25
The result will be 1234.25
Now do the same with it clicked.
The result will be 1903-05-18
If you enter 1234.25 from the number keys, both results will be: 1234.25.
I do not know what exactly you "tested", but 1234.25 is 1903-05-18 (plus
6 hours).
