I have a set of labels I'm printing on a piece of sticker paper. I'm
using OO calc to lay out the labels.
One set of labels is a group of 0.65" x 0.25" cells, laid out
horizontally. There are 10 of them. They must be laid out horizontally
so I can cut them out in a single horizontal strip, but the cells must
be 0.66" in width to help me lay out the text on the label itself.
(The label is a channel strip label for an audio mixer).
The other set of labels is a group of 0.88" x 0.25" cells, laid out in
a similar way. There are 10 of them also. Same deal with horizontal
layout.
I can't fit these side by side on a single page, but I want to avoid
wasting sticker paper and printing each set by itself on a single
sheet. I'd like to print them both on the same page, but to do that, I
think I have to put the cells in Calc in the same area so they end up
on the same page (right? or can I print cells anywhere I want
regardless of where they actually are on the sheet?). This means the
one set of labels has to be above or below the other. The problem is
the one has 0.65" cells and the other has 0.88" cells.
Can I do this? Can I make cells of different widths in the same
columns? Or is there some other way to make these labels and print
them on the same sheet of paper?
Is there some reason you need to use Calc? A table in Writer may be
more suitable for what you're trying to do. Just create two tables for
the different label sizes.
