Hello Bonnie, Did you download from www.openoffice.org? When I choose to download, it automagically proposes the US_English version. Otherwise you can go to the "more platforms, languages" option: http://download.openoffice.org/other.html#en-US where you can choose from a table which version you want (I suppose you have an Intel Mac, versions and support for PowerPC Mac's are declining...)
