I am as deeply religious as anyone you have ever known. I have
been a vestryman of my church, and a lay reader. I resent your
characterization of someone who disagrees with you as
Communist/Socialist. Your right to free speech does not give you a right
to defame those that do not agree with you. What you seem to fail to
grasp is that this is an international list. Not everyone is an American
or particularly gives a damn about your political and religious beliefs.
The purpose of this list is to provide help for people using
OpenOffice.org. Gratuitous posts such as yours do nothing to advance
that purpose and in the long run drive people away from the list.
Imagine a newly arrived user who is a devout Buddhist reading this list
in hopes of finding help with a problem with OOo; Instead he finds a
diatribe accusing him of being Communist and stupid. He will probably
not ever try this list again for help, and may even decide that if that
is the way OOo is going to treat him than there software is not worth
using either. You have just done a disservice both to the people on the
list, but to the entire organization.
You have done this before and I am sure you will do it again. So I
have no choice but to follow the advice of others and say...
PLONK!
