I have been using OOo since forever, and for the past four years on
Linux. I currently have 3.1.1 that came with a fresh install of Fedora
11, x86_64. I have always saved my ~/.openoffice.org folder so as to
preserve my personal settings, including years of AutoCorrrect entries.

Today I just noticed that one of my AutoCorrect entries was not
working. Wondering what was going on I went to Tools > AutoCorrect
Options and discovered that there are no substitution entries at all.
None. Not even the default that OOo comes with. All I see are four
tabs: Exceptions, Options, Custom Quotes, and Word Completion.

I have poked all over and can't find any way to restore my AutoCorrect
entries. I looked in my ~./openoffice.org folder and I don't see them;
that is, there is a file acor_en-US.dat, but it is too small.

I also note that I have two folders: ~/.ooo3.new and ~/.openoffice.org.
Both folders contain the same .dat file. Poking around in them I notice
that all my templates are in both folders, as well as many other items.

I probably have a backup of my AutoCorrect entries from a previous
version of OOo. I just don't know what file I should look for and where
I should put it. And why is there no way to add entries in Tools >
AutoCorrect Options?

I am very confused.
