I was using 2.4 on my laptop and it was working well. I heard about the
update to 3.1 and dl'd it. It wouldn't run. I had just upgraded from
Vista to Windows 7. I tried to uninstall 3.1 but am unable to do so.
I get the following message
The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is
unavailable. Click ok to try again or enter an alternate path to a
folder containing the installation package openofficeorg31.msi in the
box below. I am unable to find that file. I have deleted all files
containing OOo, but Open Office still shows up in the program files but
will not delete. I even tried uninstalling Network Magic but that didn't
help.
I am able to use a jump drive with the portable version of OO but I
would prefer to have it on the computer itself. I had no problem with
the upgrade on my desktop which is running XP.
Other error messages I get when trying to dl OO are:
The installed product does not match the installation source. Until a
matching source is provided or the installed product and source are
synchronized, this action can not be performed.
